What is HTML?


HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language for building web pages. HTML basically it's a bone of web pages which makes a structure of website.


"Hyper text" -> refers to hyperlinks that an HTML page may have. 

"Markup language" -> refers to the way tags are used to define the page layout and elements within the page


  • HTML is structure of web pages which is basis of website.
  • HTML is the language used to create website.
  • HTML consists of a series of elements.
  • HTML elements show the browser how to display content on web page.
